Memories Flowing into My Head

We create a memory in every single moment we live in our life. Some memories reside in our heart till the end, and some are forgotten too soon. But the question is do these memories have the power to rule over our thoughts? Or do we have enough control on them?

One can say that these memories do have the power to control our thoughts. Sometimes they can make us weak to the core. A cherished moment of our life becomes an unforgettable memory, which has dominance over our thoughts. The moment this memory enters our thoughts, it has the power to control all our actions. It has the strength to control our decisions.

On the other hand, a person with a controlled mind does have the strength to control his thoughts and in turn his memories. Our thinking process starts the moment we are born, and it ends with our life. Even while sleeping, these thoughts and memories are played with by our mind in the form of dreams. But while in the conscious state, it is unto us as to which thoughts we would like to allow to enter our mind. This power can save us from the dominating thoughts entering our mind.

So, it is your decision whether to play or to be played with. Use your powers and control your memories and don’t let the memories control you. A regular practice on this will help you control your mind more effectively, and YOU will be the one controlling your actions. Good Luck!

Quest for the Real Self

The world is full of characters. But the question I would like to ask today is: Are these characters real or fake? We meet people in every walk of our life. As we get to know these people more deeply, we come across various shades of their personality. As time moves on we realize that the person we knew earlier was just a fake character which was shown to us for the sake of winning our hearts.

Character portrayal has become part of our daily lives. We refrain from showing our real selves to people around us, and the major cause for this is rejection. We show only that part of our personality to the person in front of us, which he/she wants to see. Each one of us has got into the cycle of character portrayal at some point of time in our lives. But do we take some time off to recognize our real self?

Once in a while, we all need to shut ourselves from the world and confront our inner self. Once we unite with our inner self, we will no longer need to show our fake self to the outside world.

So go ahead, find out what is underlying within your heart and what are your hidden desires. The contentment you will find knowing yourself will leave you with an everlasting joy. After this, you will know what you want and you will stop living your life on others terms. I guess that leaves you from taking the burden of others wishes too. Good Luck!
