Life is full of choices. At each phase in life, we choose upon a decision and move ahead. The decisions we make today are responsible for shaping the choices that will be offered to us in the future. So is it really we ourselves who are responsible for the choice and the subsequent consequences we face?
Some people blame it on fate while others take responsibility for them. But what happens when life gives you two choices which seem to be equally appealing. At this point, rational thinking may not help. Then what is it that leads you to grabbing onto any one of the choices?
Such a situation is never a cakewalk. Even if you land up with a stern decision, you may be sacrificing a lot by dropping the other choice. We do face such horns of the dilemma during several phases in our life. The dilemmas may be in the form of choosing what studies to take up, what career path to follow, who will remain our friends, whom do we actually love and sometimes your children may make you choose among them.
There is never a solution to such horns of the dilemma. All you can do is leave it in the hands of your fate. And if you're brave enough, take up the responsibility of shedding the choice (or rather the person) while holding on to the others.
